MockMate AI ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a user. By using our platform, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following information when you use MockMate AI:
- Account data: Email address and hashed password when you register.
- Profile data: Full name, phone number, current skills, and career interests — provided voluntarily during onboarding.
- Interview data: Your answers to interview questions and AI-generated feedback reports.
- Payment data: Payment status and order identifiers. We do not store card or bank details — these are handled entirely by Razorpay.
- Usage data: Basic request logs including IP address and browser type for security and debugging.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve the interview practice service.
- To personalise your experience and suggest relevant interview tracks.
- To process payments and deliver your feedback report.
- To send important service updates (not marketing, unless you opt in).
- To analyse aggregate usage patterns to improve the platform.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored in a SQLite database on a secured AWS EC2 server located in India. We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- Passwords stored as bcrypt hashes (never in plain text).
- HTTPS encryption for all data in transit.
- JWT tokens for session authentication.
- Server access restricted by SSH key only.
Despite these measures, no online service is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
4. Third-Party Services
- Razorpay: Processes payments. Your payment details are governed by Razorpay's Privacy Policy.
- Anthropic: Provides the AI model that analyses your interview responses. Interview content is sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Governed by Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
- Google Fonts: Font files are loaded from Google's CDN.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Interview reports are stored to allow you to access them later. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us (see Section 7).
6. Your Rights
Under applicable data protection laws, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
